What’s Included in a Kitchen Remodel
Every kitchen remodel is different, but most projects we handle in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill include some combination of the following:
Cabinet Installation & Replacement — We install new cabinets or replace existing ones to improve storage and update the look of your kitchen. Options include shaker-style, flat-panel, and custom builds to fit non-standard spaces. If your current cabinets are structurally sound, refacing is also available.
Countertop Fabrication & Installation — We measure, fabricate, and install countertops in quartz, granite, marble, butcher block, and solid surface materials. Cutouts for sinks and cooktops are templated on-site for a precise fit.
Backsplash Installation — Subway tile, mosaic, natural stone, and decorative options. We handle surface prep, layout, tile cutting, and grouting. A backsplash protects your walls and ties the design together.
Kitchen Island Construction — Custom islands built to add counter space, seating, storage, or all three. We match the island to your existing cabinetry and countertops. Electrical and plumbing can be routed to the island if needed
Flooring Installation — Tile, vinyl plank, and sheet flooring rated for kitchen use. We remove old flooring, inspect and repair the subfloor, and install new material that handles moisture and heavy foot traffic.
See our dedicated Flooring Installation page for more details.
Demolition & Site Prep — Before construction begins, we remove old cabinets, countertops, flooring, and appliances. Debris is hauled away and the space is prepped for new materials.

How Our Kitchen Remodeling Process Works
1. Free On-Site Estimate — We visit your kitchen, take measurements, discuss your goals and budget, and provide a written quote. No deposit is required to get a price.
2. Material Selection — Once you approve the estimate, we help you choose cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, and hardware. We can source materials or work with selections you’ve already picked out.
3. Demolition & Prep — We remove existing cabinets, countertops, flooring, and appliances. The space is cleaned and prepped for new construction. Plumbing and electrical are reconfigured if the layout is changing.
4. Construction & Installation — Cabinets go in first, followed by countertops, backsplash, flooring, and fixtures. We coordinate all trades so the project moves in the right sequence without delays.
5. Final Walkthrough & Cleanup — We walk through the finished kitchen with you, address any details, and leave the space clean and ready to use. All construction debris is removed from your property.
Questions Homeowners Ask Before STarting
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Most kitchen remodels in Philadelphia take 3 to 6 weeks depending on the scope. A countertop-and-backsplash update may take 1 to 2 weeks, while a full gut renovation with layout changes typically runs 5 to 8 weeks. We provide a projected timeline during your estimate.
How much does a kitchen remodel cost?
Costs vary based on the size of the kitchen, materials selected, and whether the layout is changing. We provide a written estimate after an on-site visit so you know exactly what to expect. No work begins until you approve the price.
Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel in Philadelphia?
Permits are typically required when plumbing, electrical, or structural changes are involved. Cabinet and countertop replacements usually do not require permits. We handle permit applications when needed.
Can I use my kitchen during the remodel?
For partial remodels, you may have limited access. During a full renovation, the kitchen will be out of commission for the duration of construction. We recommend setting up a temporary prep area in another room.
What type of countertop is most durable?
Quartz is the most popular choice for durability and low maintenance. It resists stains, scratches, and heat without requiring sealing. Granite is another strong option but needs periodic resealing.
Do you work with kitchens in older Philadelphia rowhomes?
Yes. Many of our projects are in rowhomes with narrow kitchens, limited access, and older plumbing. We’re familiar with the layout constraints and know how to maximize space in compact Philadelphia kitchens.
Will you remove and dispose of my old cabinets and appliances?
Yes. Demolition and debris removal are included in our full kitchen remodel packages. We haul away all old materials so you don’t have to arrange separate disposal.
